This is a purrfect time to adopt a cat because the spring and summer months bring a surge of cats to our shelter.
“Think.Adopt.Love a Cat” is the on-going message at the SPCA. The SPCA wants the community to understand how important it is to spay/neuter your pets. Because cats are seasonal breeders the cat population in the shelter spikes at this time of year. Last year the SPCA took in 455 cats in June and another 573 in July.
“The summer months bring a significantly increased number of cats and kittens to the shelter. Every one of them needs a loving home and family. We want to encourage the community to think about adopting and to love a Shelter Cat!” says Denise Deisler, Executive Director.
The reduced rate fees help us reach our goal of finding homes for our shelter cats by encouraging more visitors to the Peninsula SPCA.

Regular adoption fees are $129. When you adopt your new cat the special adoption fee includes microchip, FVRCP (distemper), worming, frontline, CAT CARE training DVD, Collar, carrier, free health exam, spay/neuter surgery, and Fe/Lv & FIV tests, and the purrfect companion.
The Peninsula SPCA is located at 523 J Clyde Morris Blvd and is open seven days a week: Monday-Friday from 11-6pm, Saturdays from 10-5pm, and Sundays from 12-4pm.
